Attending Your Appointment

Your appointment is a private, one-on-one consultation with a dedicated specialist in your own fitting room at either the Chuks Collins New York Studio or the Los Angeles Boutique on Melrose Place. Over the course of 60 minutes, you will typically have the opportunity to try on five to six gowns from the collection.

Your specialist will guide you through silhouettes, fabrics, and details to help you find the right gown. If time allows, additional styles may be explored.

If you have styles in mind ahead of time, you can pre-select these during the booking process so they are ready for your visit.

A Chuks Collins bridal appointment is approximately 60 minutes. Your stylist at the New York Studio or Los Angeles Boutique will dedicate this time entirely to you in a private fitting room.

We advise wearing flesh-colored, seamless underwear to your Chuks Collins bridal appointment so you can fully appreciate the construction and detail of each wedding dress. We also request that you wear minimal to no makeup during your appointment.

We have sample shoes available to try on with the gowns during your appointment. We encourage you to browse our footwear collection beforehand to familiarize yourself with our shoe styles: https://chukscollins.com/collections/bridal.

To ensure the best possible experience, Chuks Collins recommends bringing up to two guests to your bridal appointment. If you wish to bring an additional guest, please contact your studio to confirm in advance of your appointment.

Brides are welcome to take photos of themselves during their visit to the Chuks Collins New York Studio or Los Angeles Boutique for personal use. Chuks Collin's policy prohibits posting photographs or content captured during your appointment on social media.

When booking your Chuks Collins appointment, you will be prompted to pre-select five "Styles of Interest" that you would most like to see. We do our best to prioritize these indicated styles and will explore additional options as time allows.

If you have any special requests or concerns to share in advance, please include them in the "Personal Style Notes" section during the appointment booking process.

Once you have booked your appointment, the styles selected in the booking process can be updated via the "Change/Cancel Appointment" link in your confirmation email by selecting the 'Edit Info' prompt.

For returning clients, kindly select the 'returning' option during appointment booking on our website: https://chukscollins.com/pages/bespoke-services.

The $150 booking fee remains applicable to returning brides, ensuring reservation of the fitting room and your dedicated specialist's time. You may credit up to two appointment fees ($300) toward your purchase.

If you are prepared to proceed with payment and paperwork, please contact your specialist directly or call our studios to schedule a "Measurements" appointment. This does not require an additional appointment fee. The appointment takes around 30 minutes, during which we record your measurements and finalize your order.

To contact the Chuks Collins New York Studio, call +1 (323) 240-2006 or email atelier@chukscollins.com.

To contact the Chuks Collins Los Angeles Boutique on Melrose Place, call 3478188586 or email chukscollinspr@gmail.com.

In almost all cases, you will work with the same specialist for continuity. However, you can always request a different specialist if you wish.

If for some reason your specialist is not available during the time you schedule to revisit, our team will reach out to alert you and offer you the opportunity to reschedule.

Yes. We kindly request that you cancel your appointment via the "Change/Cancel Appointment" link in your confirmation email no later than 48 hours in advance.

Should you need any additional assistance, contact the Chuks Collins New York Studio at +1 (323) 240-2006 or atelier@chukscollins.com, or the Chuks Collins Los Angeles Boutique at 3478188586 or chukscollinspr@gmail.com.

Please be advised that the $150 fee is non-refundable if notice is not provided in advance of this timeframe.

Because Chuks Collins garments are handmade, we only have one to two samples of each style. In most cases, samples can be clamped or let out to approximate your measurements during your appointment, so you can envision how your garment will look when size is adjusted for.

Please note that new collection styles may only be available in the sample size, typically a US size 0 to 2, for a short period after a collection is released, with extended sizing available after that.

We kindly ask you to provide your estimated gown size when booking your appointment so we can select the sample size closest to you. If you have any further questions, please reach out directly and we will be happy to assist you.

Yes. Following your Chuks Collins appointment, your specialist will provide a recap of your favorite styles within 24 hours.

You may contact your specialist via email at any time for additional information. If you cannot locate your recap email or do not recall whom you worked with, please contact atelier@chukscollins.com.

Before Your Appointment

We recommend browsing the Chuks Collins collection on our website at https://chukscollins.com/collections/bridal before your visit, so you arrive with a sense of the styles you are drawn to.

When booking, use the 'Styles of Interest' and 'Personal Style Notes' fields to share your preferences with your specialist in advance.

It can help to have a loose sense of your wedding vision before you visit: the venue, season, and overall aesthetic can all inform the silhouettes and fabrics that will work best for you.

There is no need to have made any firm decisions, as your specialist will help guide you through the options on the day.

A custom wedding dress is a bridal gown designed and constructed from scratch for one bride. At Chuks Collins, the custom design process is a direct collaboration between you and our atelier, with master patternmakers and seamstresses crafting each gown to the highest standards of dressmaking in New York City's Garment District.

Unlike made-to-order or customized gowns, which both begin with an existing design from the collection, a custom gown is conceived and designed uniquely for you. Silhouette, fabric, embellishment, and construction are all created in collaboration with Chuks and the atelier.

The Chuks Collins custom bridal process begins with an initial consultation, held in person at our New York Studio at 260 West 39th Street or over video for clients outside of New York. A sketch fee of $2,500 is required prior to beginning any custom design work and is applied as a credit toward your final gown purchase.

During the first meeting, you discuss your vision, timeline, and design direction with our client relationships team. Once a clear concept is established, Chuks Collins works directly with you to provide sketches and fabric swatches, considering all elements discussed in the initial consultation.

Measurements are taken at our New York Studio or remotely, depending on location, and a timeline is set for the first fitting. From there, the gown is patterned and constructed entirely by hand by our atelier's master patternmakers and seamstresses in the Garment District. The number of fittings varies based on the gown's design and complexity.

The timeline for a Chuks Collins custom wedding dress varies based on the complexity of the design, fabric sourcing, and the number of fittings required.

Brides should book their custom consultation as early as possible to allow time for the full design and construction process. Once a concept is established and measurements are taken, a timeline is set for the first fitting. From that point, fittings and timelines vary based on the gown's design.

For made-to-order gowns from the existing Chuks Collins collection, the standard lead time is approximately 24 weeks from order date.

Custom wedding dress pricing at Chuks Collins varies based on design complexity, fabric selection, and embellishment. Because each custom gown is a unique creation – designed, patterned, and constructed by hand by master patternmakers and seamstresses in our New York City atelier – pricing is discussed during the initial consultation.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of sale to begin production, with the remaining balance due in full before the gown is picked up.

Contact our Custom Studio at chukscollinspr@gmail.com to discuss your vision and schedule a consultation, or fill out the Custom Studio form on our website: https://chukscollins.com/collections/bridal.

Chuks Collins offers three types of gowns: made-to-order, custom, and customized.

Made-to-order means an existing design from the Chuks Collins collection is cut and crafted in your selected ready-to-wear size after your order is placed. The silhouette, fabric, and design have already been developed by Chuks Collins, and each gown is made specifically for you, while remaining true to the original collection design.

Customized means starting with a gown from the Chuks Collins collection and incorporating select modifications to make it more personal. This may include changes such as a different neckline, an alternate fabric, or the addition of lace, sleeves, or embellishments. Customizations are quoted on a case-by-case basis and incur an additional charge in addition to the gown price. Please note that not all customization requests can be accommodated. Available options and pricing will be confirmed in consultation with your Chuks Collins specialist.

Custom means your wedding dress is designed from scratch, exclusively for you. Working directly with the Chuks Collins atelier, you will collaborate on sketches, fabric selections, and every design detail to create a one-of-a-kind gown that is thoughtfully crafted around your vision and personal style.

The Chuks Collins Custom Studio is where our bridal gowns are thoughtfully designed, developed, and handcrafted by our skilled artisans. This is also the home of our studio, where every custom Chuks Collins gown is designed, patterned, and crafted with exceptional attention to detail.

Yes. Chuks Collins is pleased to offer customizations on a case-by-case basis, provided they preserve the integrity and design aesthetic of our collections. Depending on the requested modifications, changes such as neckline adjustments, sleeve additions, fabric substitutions, or other design refinements may require updates to the original pattern during production.

Please note that customizations may incur an additional charge and could extend the production timeline. All customization requests are carefully reviewed by the Chuks Collins team, and availability, pricing, and lead times will be confirmed during your consultation.

Yes. Chuks Collins offers customization of veils, accessories, and select footwear on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in customizing a veil or other bridal accessories, please mention your request when booking your consultation or discuss it with your Chuks Collins specialist during your appointment.

Customization options are carefully reviewed to ensure they align with the design and craftsmanship of the Chuks Collins collection. Availability, pricing, and production timelines will be confirmed during your consultation.

When to Buy Your Veil

Ideally, we recommend selecting your veil at the same time as your Chuks Collins gown so both pieces can be styled together for a cohesive bridal look. Bridal accessories such as veils often require several months for production and delivery, so ordering early helps ensure they are completed well in advance of your wedding day.

If you are ordering a custom or made-to-order veil, we recommend allowing sufficient lead time so your veil is ready approximately two to three months before your wedding. This provides ample time for any final styling adjustments and ensures everything is perfectly coordinated for your special day.

Yes. Chuks Collins offers a curated selection of bridal veils and accessories designed to complement our collection of gowns. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted to complete your bridal look with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship found throughout the Chuks Collins collection.

To learn more about our available veils and accessories, or to discuss custom options, please contact our team at atelier@chukscollins.com. We will be happy to help you find or create the perfect finishing piece for your wedding day.

When to Buy Your Shoes

You are welcome to purchase your shoes at the same time as your Chuks Collins gown, and many brides find this to be the most convenient option. At the latest, your wedding shoes should be selected and available before your first alterations fitting, as heel height plays a crucial role in determining the final hem length of your gown. Once alterations have begun, changes to shoe height may affect the fit and finish of your dress.

For all in-person fittings, we recommend bringing the exact shoes you plan to wear on your wedding day. If your shoes are not available at the time of your fitting, your appointment may need to be rescheduled to ensure the most accurate alterations.

As a general guideline, we recommend having your wedding shoes ready at least three months before your wedding date, as this is when most alteration appointments typically begin.

Yes. Chuks Collins offers a curated selection of bridal footwear designed to complement our gowns and complete your wedding-day look. Each style is thoughtfully selected to pair beautifully with our bridal collection while maintaining the elegance and craftsmanship synonymous with the Chuks Collins brand.

To learn more about our available footwear collection or to discuss suitable options for your gown, please contact our team at chukscollinspr@gmail.com. If you are interested in bespoke or customized footwear, please reach out to atelier@chukscollins.com, and our team will be happy to assist you.

To complete your purchase with Chuks Collins, the following steps must be finalized: confirmation of your selected size, approval of any applicable customizations, acceptance of our Terms of Sale, and full payment through the payment link or payment method provided by our team.

Your dedicated Chuks Collins specialist will guide you through each step of the purchasing process, including confirming your order details, providing payment instructions, and answering any questions you may have. Once all requirements have been completed and payment has been received, your order will be confirmed and scheduled for production.

For collection and made-to-order gowns, full payment is due at the time the order is placed. For custom gowns, a 50% deposit is required at the time of sale to begin production, with the remaining balance due in full before the gown is shipped or picked up.

All sales are final and non-refundable. No modifications or cancellations are permitted once an order has been placed and the Studio Terms of Sale has been signed.

Sales tax, VAT, GST, or any other applicable taxes will be applied to your order based on your shipping destination and the laws and regulations of the destination country or region.

If your confirmed shipping address changes after your order has been placed, the applicable taxes and duties may be recalculated. Any additional balance resulting from the updated shipping destination must be paid before your order can be released for shipment or collection. This ensures compliance with all applicable tax and customs requirements.

We accept payment via credit card and bank wire transfer. There are no additional processing fees for credit card payments.

If you would like to pay by bank wire transfer, please contact your dedicated Chuks Collins specialist or email atelier@chukscollins.com for our banking details and payment instructions. Our team will be happy to assist you throughout the payment process.

Due to the handcrafted and bespoke nature of our creations, payment for all made-to-order, customized, and ready-to-order Chuks Collins gowns is required in full before production begins. At this time, we do not offer installment or financing plans.

For fully custom gowns designed exclusively for you, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin the design and production process. The remaining balance must be paid in full before your gown is released for shipment or collection.

Your Chuks Collins specialist will provide payment instructions and guide you through each stage of the purchasing process.

The Sample vs. Your Final Gown

Each Chuks Collins gown is individually handcrafted with exceptional attention to detail. As each piece is created by skilled artisans, slight variations in fabric, dye lots, lace, embellishments, beadwork, or other handcrafted details may naturally occur from one gown to another.

These subtle differences are an inherent part of the artisanal process and reflect the unique character and craftsmanship of every Chuks Collins creation. They are not considered defects, but rather a hallmark of the individuality and quality of a handcrafted luxury garment.

Chuks Collins gowns are made to order based on our standard size guide. Your measurements will be reviewed to determine the recommended size for production, ensuring the best possible fit based on our sizing standards.

For clients who require more personalized proportions, a made-to-measure service may be available at an additional cost, subject to consultation and approval by our team.

Please note that most bridal gowns require professional alterations to achieve the perfect fit, including made-to-measure garments. We recommend working with an experienced bridal alterations specialist to complete the final fitting.

The final size selected and approved at the time of purchase is the client's responsibility. As every Chuks Collins gown is made specifically for each client, size exchanges are not available, and all sales are considered final.

Returns and Cancellations

Due to the handcrafted and made-to-order nature of our creations, Chuks Collins is unable to accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations on gowns once production has begun. To ensure a seamless experience, we kindly ask that all design preferences, customizations, and order details are carefully reviewed and finalized before your order is confirmed and production commences.

Our team will work closely with you throughout the consultation process to ensure every detail is approved before your gown enters production, helping to achieve the best possible outcome for your special day.

Our Timeline

General production timelines are provided for each style on our website. Please note that these windows are estimates and may vary depending on multiple factors.

Standard orders typically take an average of 5–7 months to produce, allowing 2–3 months for alterations post-production.

In certain circumstances, Chuks Collins may be able to accommodate rush orders, subject to our production schedule and material availability. If you are working within a shorter timeline, we encourage you to contact our team as early as possible to discuss your requirements.

If your wedding or event is less than 8 months away, expedited production may be available, and additional rush fees may apply. Availability, timelines, and any applicable charges will be confirmed during your consultation.

For rush order inquiries, please contact atelier@chukscollins.com, and our team will be happy to advise you on the available options.

Excluding approved rush orders, Chuks Collins aims to have all made-to-order and custom gowns completed well in advance of your wedding or event date. Once your gown has been carefully handcrafted and successfully passed our quality control process, our team will notify you that your order is ready.

At that stage, you may arrange for your gown to be shipped, schedule a collection appointment, or coordinate any remaining fitting or alteration appointments, if applicable.

If you anticipate needing your gown more than three months before your wedding or require an accelerated timeline, please inform your Chuks Collins specialist as early as possible. While we will do our best to accommodate urgent requests, expedited production is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Once you have identified your gown style on our website, please click "Request a fabric swatch for this style." Alternatively, if you have already placed an order, you may contact your specialist directly via email for assistance in obtaining a swatch. For all orders placed with third-party stockists, please contact your stockist directly.

In-House Alterations

In order to ensure a perfect fit, most gowns need some form of alterations. Chuks Collins offers in-house alterations for garments purchased through either the Chuks Collins Studio or the Chuks Collins Boutique.

Yes. Chuks Collins offers in-house alterations for gowns purchased directly through our Chuks Collins Studio or Chuks Collins Boutique.

In-house alterations are $2,490 when arranged at the time of your gown order or within two months thereafter. Requests made after this window are $2,950 and subject to the Chuks Collins Atelier's availability. Rush alterations, for timelines of six weeks or less, are available at $3,490 where our schedule allows. Each package includes two fittings and a final try-on, and the applicable fee must be paid in full before your first scheduled fitting. Any fittings beyond the two included are charged at $600 per fitting.

Please note that first fittings cannot take place without your event shoes, so we ask that you commit to your shoes and undergarments before your first appointment.

Yes. Chuks Collins offers a made-to-measure service for $1,800 for brides requiring more customized proportions.

Please be advised that almost all garments will require some form of alterations to perfect the fit, including made-to-measure gowns. We offer a combined made-to-measure and alterations package for $3,490.

Chuks Collins recommends starting alterations no less than 12 weeks prior to your event date. If you purchased in-house alterations, you will receive an email to start scheduling your alterations appointments when your gown is ready.

For any additional assistance, please reach out to atelier@chukscollins.com.

Please bring your wedding shoes to your first fitting so we can correctly set the length and bustle of your gown. If you arrive without them, your appointment will need to be rescheduled. Once alterations have begun, your shoes cannot be changed as heel height directly affects how the gown is hemmed.

Additionally, please bring any undergarments you plan to wear on your wedding day to ensure the fit is as accurate as possible.

You may also wish to bring any accessories or jewelry you intend to wear with your gown so you can see your complete bridal look during the fitting.

Chuks Collins cannot perform alterations on any garments purchased outside our Chuks Collins Studio or Chuks Collins Boutique. To work with our in-house alterations team, garments must be purchased directly from Chuks Collins.

If you would like to add in-house alterations after your original purchase, please reach out to your sales specialist directly or email atelier@chukscollins.com. Alterations requested outside the two-month window following your order are $2,950 and, due to our fitting schedule and production capacity, cannot be guaranteed. Our team will confirm availability and assist with scheduling. Please note that full payment for alterations must be completed before the alterations process can begin.

Unless arranged with us in advance, all Chuks Collins gowns are made to order and are produced to your order's recommended ready-to-wear sizing based on the measurements taken at the time of sale. Please note that all sales are final.

If your measurements have changed, or you think they may change before your event, please contact the Chuks Collins Atelier and your sales specialist as soon as possible so we can talk through your options. Depending on the extent of the change, a significantly different fit may not be something we can accommodate, and any adjustments we do make may require additional alterations and extend your timeline.

All gowns, regardless of any change in measurements, will require some degree of alterations to perfect the fit.

Understanding The Studio Terms of Sale

When placing an order with Chuks Collins, you will sign the Terms of Sale, a legal agreement between you and Chuks Collins. By signing, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions, and that you are 18 years of age or older.

Signing this agreement is a required step to finalize your purchase.

Once your order has been placed and the Agreement signed, no refunds, credits, modifications, or cancellations are possible under any circumstances, including if your event is cancelled or postponed.

You are responsible for the final size selection agreed upon at the time of order. You are also required to inspect the merchandise before taking possession of it, at which point Chuks Collins has no further obligations regarding the garment. The total liability of Chuks Collins in connection with your order is limited to the amounts you have paid.

Cancellation by non-payment, non-acceptance of the gown, or other non-performance still obligates the client to all payments required under the Agreement. Chuks Collins may seek 10% compounded monthly interest on any outstanding amounts, as well as reasonable attorney's fees.
