A Life Shaped by Craft
Chúks Collins is a Nigerian-British multidisciplinary artist and fashion designer whose work bridges African and Western aesthetics. Deeply influenced by fine art, his creations are rooted in purposeful storytelling, transforming clothing into a medium for culture, identity, and expression.
Born in the United Kingdom and raised between Nigeria and England, Collins discovered his creative voice at an early age through the tailoring lessons of his grandmother. Around a table that felt like home, he learned the values of craftsmanship, patience, and attention to detail—principles that would later shape both his career and design philosophy.
What began at a kitchen table evolved into a global fashion house, but the foundation remains unchanged. Every CHUKS COLLINS collection reflects the same dedication to craft, intention, and meaningful design that first inspired the designer's journey.
Beyond Fashion
His work spans bespoke tailoring, ready-to-wear collections, accessories, homewares, objects, wearable art, and social entrepreneurship. Through each discipline, he approaches design as a form of storytelling—creating pieces that connect culture, craftsmanship, and contemporary expression.
Having held design roles at Ralph Lauren and Nanette Lepore, and collaborated with global brands including Guinness, VICE Media, and Lush Decor, he has built a multidisciplinary career rooted in creativity and purpose. As Founder and Creative Director of CHUKS COLLINS, he is recognized for precision tailoring, sculptural silhouettes, and collections that blend cultural narrative with sustainable design principles.
Global Recognition
From winning the FGI Rising Star Award for Sustainability in 2026 to the Nike Designer Challenge, the CANEX × Afreximbank African Sportswear Design Competition, and a finalist position in the PVH Foundation fellowship with Harlem’s Fashion Row, Collins has earned recognition across some of the fashion industry’s most respected platforms. His work reflects a seamless blend of innovation, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling.
His designs have graced prestigious red carpets including the MET Gala, the Oscars, and the Critics Choice Awards. Featured in leading publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Essence, WWD, and Forbes, his collections continue to gain international acclaim. Collins has also showcased multiple collections at New York Fashion Week, further cementing his place among today’s most influential emerging designers.
Purpose Beyond Design
Beyond his work as a designer, Collins is a dedicated advocate for the future of African fashion. As co-founder of the African Fashion Council, he champions emerging designers and creates global opportunities that connect African talent with international platforms. Through his role as Designer in Residence at Berkeley College, he continues to mentor the next generation while advancing meaningful cultural dialogue through design.
Driven by passion and purpose, Collins believes fashion should create impact beyond aesthetics. His commitment to nonprofit initiatives, sustainability, and continuous innovation reflects a vision that extends far beyond the garment. Every collection carries a deeper message—one rooted in responsibility, cultural pride, and lasting social influence.
Where Craftmanship Meets Culture
Our Roots
Chúks Collins is a fashion house headquartered in New York City, with a satellite office in Lagos, Nigeria. The brand exists at the intersection of culture, craft, legacy, and storytelling, all expressed through thoughtful design. Sustainability is not treated as a trend but as a way of life. Every piece is intentionally created, never chasing fleeting fashions, but instead embracing timeless design articulated through exceptional craftsmanship.
The story began with a grandmother’s hands, thread pulled through fabric on a kitchen table somewhere between Nigeria and England. From those beginnings came an understanding that clothing is more than decoration—it is an extension of self-expression and identity. It serves as a vehicle for storytelling, carrying memories, values, and heritage from one generation to the next.
Where Craftmanship Meets Culture
Legacy in Every Stitch
Every CHUKS COLLINS piece is designed with longevity in mind—not for a single season, but for a lifetime. The approach is intentionally slow, prioritizing craftsmanship over trend cycles and creating garments meant to endure. These are pieces to be worn, cherished, and passed down through generations; bought by one woman, treasured by the next, and rediscovered by another who uncovers the story woven into every detail. This is the enduring power of legacy.
Where Craftmanship Meets Culture
One Vision
CHUKS COLLINS encompasses women's and men's ready-to-wear collections, bespoke creations, a dedicated Bridal Studio, and an evolving accessories line. In 2024, the brand expanded its vision further with the launch of a proprietary home and object collection, following a successful collaboration with homewares brand Lush Decor. Across every category and discipline, the same values remain at the core—craftsmanship, storytelling, and intentional design. Whether in fashion, interiors, or objects, every creation is built from the same foundation, forming a cohesive brand world guided by one heart, one soul, and one vision.
