Across West and Central African traditions, objects worn at the waist are among the most sacred: waist beads measure life stages, gris-gris pouches guard against harm. The front flap bears the Chuks Collins CC monogram in silver — not as branding but as sigil. Named for ochre, one of the oldest sacred earth pigments in African ceremony: the earth worn as armour.
