From the base, elongated leather fringe cascades — each strand a thread of ancestral memory. Named for the kola nut, the most sacred offering in West African ceremony, presented at thresholds of birth, death and covenant. The inverted colourway — the same story told from the other side of memory. A pale cream-ivory leather body with deep espresso slot reveals and dark cascading fringe. Named for kaolin clay, nzu in Igbo, applied to the body in rites of passage, healing and ancestral communion: the sacred white of ceremony and transition.
